The present phase of Egypt’s “Ask, Consult” (Isaal-Istashir)
program (2004-2008) will provide marketing support to family
planning as well as to an expanded range of family health
products, information and services. In addition, it will
strengthen the vast network of affiliated “Ask, Consult”
pharmacists to form a viable “Ask, Consult” marketing
association, sustained on shared business interests and member
benefits. |

The CHL project seeks to build sustainability into all programs,
which can be achieved by entering into strategic relationships
with operations in the private sector that deliver mutual
benefits.
Proctor and Gamble: The Procter and Gamble Health Sciences
Institute and its affiliates (P&G) joined the CHL project as a
strategic partner in the private sector. The ultimate objective
of the strategic collaboration is to improve the health and
lives of people in Egypt. Under the collaboration, sustainable
programs resulting in measurable behavioral change and improved
health status are being developed and implemented. |
