Strategy and Approach
The CHL research-based strategy positions the
household as the
producer of health, the place where health knowledge, habits,
and behaviors are learned and practiced. Activities aim to
empower family members in all Life Stages to make healthy
behavior choices:

Young Children (0–5, neonates and infants)

School Age Children (6-14)

Youth (unmarried, aged 15-24)

Young Marrieds (spacers, 0-2 children)
-
Older Men and Women (limiters, school age children)
Campaign messages center on the family and address all Life
Stages and health areas. Activities include several
gender-specific programs to build local male and female
leadership to ensure the support and cooperation of males and
females within the family and community.
Special attention is given to youth and young married couples to
leverage results, as decisions taken in these stages of life
often have life –long effects on the health of individuals and
