National Family Health Campaign
The current campaign slogan is “Sahatek…Sarwetek” (Your
Health…Your Wealth). It taps into a deeply held cultural belief
that health is a gift to be cherished, and carries the
empowering message that people can act to protect their health
and that of their families, which is the underlying approach of
the campaign. By focusing on the family as the place where
health areas intersect CHL is able to deliver a package of
health messages through the public, NGO, and private sectors.
The campaign uses the full spectrum of communication approaches:
-
Mass
media: TV and Radio spots, “enter-educate” programming, talk
shows and press inserts, articles, and event coverage.
-
Community: Family health interventions, theater shows,
publicity events, capacity and coalition building with CDAs.
-
Communication Materials: Brochures, posters, and other
materials for providers and clients, tailored to specific
health needs and literacy levels.
-
Service marketing and training for specific private and public
sector health services as a means of coordinating demand for
quality health services and products with supply.
